The hardest thing in life is to know which bridge to cross and which to burn.

123 meme

I was tagged over at SWOPeast’s blog, but feel it’s more appropiate to answer here.

Elizabeth Pisani tagged me. Quite an honor.

The rules:
* look up page 123 in the book that is nearest to you at this very minute
* look for the fifth sentence
* then post the three sentences that follow that fifth sentence on page 123.

what is authority? (expertise)

No, don’t worry, I’m not going political (not any more than I ever am). I found this story via my Google Alerts and although it really had nothing to do with the actual subject I was looking for, I found it interesting. (The age of the article shows you how long I’ve been sitting on this post.)

Why?

It’s a question I’ve often had internal debates about. Who is considered an authority? And this ties into the back-and-forth over my last post.

a lech, a pimp and my rage

These two random memories surfaced a few weeks ago. They both happened while I was stripping, though the incidents were separated by a year or more. What I find interesting in revisiting the memories is my angry non-reaction. I think it’s a woman-thing more than a stripper-thing. You be the judge.

sex propaganda posters

A friend sent me this link. Too good to keep to myself. Masturbation propaganda posters. Great for your cubicle.

writing diversity

Proof that I’ve been hanging around sex worker activists way too long — I complain about a book’s lack of “diversity” in an Amazon review.

I've discovered the pleasure of working with Brian Gardner's WP themes. His free stuff is nearly flawless and his more expensive stuff is mind-blowing. Although his work is easy to use right out of the box, there's infinite fun to be had by customizing (i.e., destroying) it. As you can see here.
