  1. Where you been girl? Been wondering what was going on with you not posting and easing my jones for you blog. 🙂

  2. Kelly,

Had to take care of some life things. All good, just time-consuming.

    Thanks for missing me though!

    Jim,

I loved the movie. Extremely funny (worth the price of admission just for this line alone), dark, twisted and disturbing. I wouldn’t compare it to anything else. I think it stands alone pretty well.

    May even see it again.

  3. Gotta love those Coen brothers. Although my personal favorite is ” We don’t need no stinking badges” from Blazing Saddles and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. Kind of sums up my feelings of the law.

  4. Greg,

I love the complete stupidity of Brad Pitt’s line (the delivery is gold). But if we’re talking Blazing Saddles, “I’m So Tired” by Madeline Kahn gets my vote — though technically it’s not a single line.

  5. personally, my favorite is “what we have here is a failure (southern draw) to communicate” Paul will be missed. Don’t be a stranger. Hugs

  6. Hi, I really love your 1st book and can’t wait to see your 2nd book. If you have a change please review this website for me: (www.pinkground.com). It is a project that I am working on to create a social networking site for escorts. Please let me know what you think ;-). Thank you.

  7. Rick,

What movie was that from? I’ve heard it before (Guns n Roses), but didn’t know it came from a movie.

    Duc,

    Thank you!

Interesting site. I don’t have a firm opinion simply because I’m not a Web 2.0 expert. I generally stay away from all that “sharing”.

  8. Actually, the comment was made by actor Strother Martin who was the La. Prison Farm Captain and Paul Newman was the incorigible inmate Luke Jackson in the film classic: “Cool Hand Luke”. Another good movie line was in the same movie by George Kennedy who played inmate: “Dragline”…I believe he was either won or was nominated for an Oscar as best supporting actor and during the famous car-wash scene…he moaned the line: ” ….Lucille…any woman with a body like that’s name has got to be Lucille…”

Keep on smilin’ Miss Amanda! : )

  9. Hey girl!

Good to see you around these parts again! Glad to hear the movie was good, I really want to see it. Brad looks like such a spaz in it. Hope to hear from you soon!

    Smooches!

  10. I have to agree with Greg – but if we’re talking ‘Blazing Saddles’ then my vote would go to: “Don’t shoot Mongo – it just makes him mad.”

  11. Lewis,

The Lucille line is good! Gotta go watch some Paul Newman at some point.

    Will,

Any of the Mongo lines were good, but yes, that’s the best.

    Aspasia,

Yes, you’ll hear from me! And do go see the movie. Brad is unbelievable, the complete opposite of bad-ass. He makes “dork” so much fun.

  12. sorry for the late reply…

yes it was very funny in a sick way, but I guess we all have that in us and since it was Clooney and Pitt, I guess it was okay, LOL!

BTW, I just saw Madagascar 2 with my nephew this past weekend and it was great, if you have a child, niece/nephew, or just want to feel like a kid again, its a must see like the Shrek movies! I admit, I used my nephew(he’s 4 years old) as an excuse to go see it….ha ha. 😉

  13. The best movie line(s) ever:

“Maj. Strasser has been shot. Round up the usual suspects.” – Casablanca

    Second place:

“Fasten your seatbelts. It’s gonna be a bumpy night.” – All About Eve
